Wordless Wednesday (sort of)

Here is a sneak peek ( kinda sorta) of the picture that might be in Fitness Magazine this fall. I participated in a running shoe review and had to send in a pic of me in the show I loved the most. Aren't they neat looking!??! I am cleverly sporting my Fluid Flair tee shirt too-I love it that much!

Stuffitts Shoe Savers--Review and Giveaway!

I have been given the opportunity to review a great product!
I love them! They absorb shoe odor and take away moisture from my running shoes!
I tried mine out after a few of my wetter runs. After nice run in a blizzard and then a slushy run. I was impressed thoroughly after each use. My shoes were dry and smelled fresh--not that funky, moldy smell that sometimes happens after a lot of moisture gets in the shoes. You know what I am talking about!
Stuffitt Shoe Savers are 100% cedar-filled show stuffers that remove moisture and eliminate shoe odor in all types of footwear. Stuffitts absorbs moisture up to 8 times faster than air drying alone, eradicating odor by absorbing wetness and creating an inhospitable environment for the source of shoe odor-bacteria. After a workout, marathon or a long day at work, simply insert Stuffitts into your shoe to stop moisture in its tracks!

I must say that I was a bit skeptical at first. All of my skepticism's went right out the door as soon as I removed the Stuffitts from the plastic wrap. I was overwhelmed with the smell of cedar( in a good way of course). I LOVE this smell. If you don't...well then you might not like this product! I have used Stuffitts in newer shoes and older smellier shoes and the stink is gone! They are pretty cool looking too! My next "test" will be this summer when the stinky summer sandals come out of hiding. Not mine of course--but my husbands!

Stuffitts come in a variety of sizes-even kids sizes! Stuffitts recommends that you replace the cedar insert every 6 months for maximum effectiveness. The outer foot is washable and also comes with a handy carrying strap.

I fully recommend Stuffitts and am happy I was able to review this product.

I am super excited that the fine people at Stuffitts donated 2 pair of Stuffitts for me to giveaway!

Wednesday..Spinning and Totally Toned-- For sure!

Spin and totally toned were on my To Do list today. Spinning was fun. Another interval type class ,but with more hills then Monday. We also had 5 sprints today which is a lot for me!
Totally Toned went well today too. There are a lot of new faces this session and I want to break them in slowly.... They did say they were still sore from Monday's class, but so did the "veterans".
I am sore from my own lifting from Tuesday. I better get over it because I am back at it tomorrow!
I got new running shoes last yesterday! This might be the first time in a long time that I actually bought new shoes before I needed them! I normally wait until my knees and or hips start to ache and then I wait another 2-4 weeks after that to do anything about it ( cuz I'm smart like that), not to mention the shoes I get cost $100! Thank goodness my Totally Toned class chipped in and got me a gift certificate to my fave running store for $110!! I still have $4 left to go nuts with!! Woohoo!!

Knees on Fire

I tried to go out for a 5-8 mile run on Friday morning. I made it to about 3.75 miles or so before I had to stop. My knees were talking to me. They were saying bad things. They were telling me off. They were mad at me. They told me to STOP or regret it later. I actually listened. I was not happy about it, but I did what I was told. I walked the rest of the way home.

I got new shoes on Friday night!! I am so happy that I listened to my body and stopped running. No need to run on broke down shoes and get injured just because I am stubborn.

I was doing a good job of keeping track of how many miles I put on my shoes, but somewhere after the 25 k race I lost track. I was probably a good 50-75 miles over due, since I bought the shoes in late April or was it the beginning of May?? Either way that was a long time ago.

*It is recommended that you replace running shoes between 350-550 miles depending on your running style, body weight, and the surface on which you run. Lighter runners can get closer to the upper end of the recommendation while heavier runners are harder on shoes and should consider replacement shoes closer to 350 miles*

I either go by that or when my knees and hips start to ache!

So today's run was tons of fun. 16 miles down in the books! It was a gorgeous morning. Lots of bright sun to guide us on our journey. No complaints today...thanks new shoes!
